Portage Food Pantry

The Portage Township Food Pantry serves more than 400 families every month, providing emergency assistance to families in crisis situations. The pantry would not operate without dedicated volunteers who register families, organize and distribute food, and provide a light meal once a week.

The Food Pantry is located inside the Portage Adult Education Building, 5391 Central Ave. Volunteers assist in organizing the pantry throughout the week by being available to receive, unload, and stock food in the freezers, refrigerators, and shelves. Fridays are distribution days from 10:00am - 1:00pm with volunteers beginning work at 8:00am. Volunteer groups are also welcomed to organize, prepare, and serve a light meal to the families on Fridays. Please contact the pantry at 763-4257 to volunteer.
