Islamic Council Protests Conversions
Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai has been warned by the nation's Islamic council to prevent members of foreign aid groups from converting Afganis to Christianity. The council also advised that public execution be reinstated as punishment for conversion to Christianity, The Christian Post reported. Charities and non government organizations operate in Afghanistan through the support of Christian organizations, but are prohibited from proselytizing.
