(11/22) The Real Life family is collecting items to be sent over to the US Marine 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion stationed in Iraq . Some of the soldiers in this battalion have little or no family, and have yet to receive a care package during their time in Iraq . We can all help to support our our troops and let them know how much we appreciate them during this Christmas season by donating the follow items: one or two strands of Christmas lights (small bulbs are best), cotton or wool socks (black is best), baby wipes, bottles of water, beef jerky, crossword puzzles, magazines, activity books, water balloons, cards, homemade pictures made by children. Pretty much anything can be given that doesn't require special handling, or that will not perish in the 2 weeks it takes to get to Iraq . Please NO money. Items can be brought next Sunday, December 3rd and left at the information center, or items may be dropped off at the church office this week. If you have any questions you can contact Theresa Overturf: (Theresa.Overturf@NHGL.med.navy.mil). Theresa is a Navy Medic and a part of our Real Life family.
